Last night, I had a long talk with a friend. We spent hours sitting on the terrace speaking about our childhood. The way we enjoyed kicking a plastic bottle all the way from play ground to home, walking along with it for miles. How we were let free outside to play and run till we fall, hurt ourselves, get cleaned by ma and let free to fall again! That is when I realized- we have lost out an important part of our lives. Dear Sir
One thing that has changed significantly in the past 15 years is the size and the quality of lifestyle of the Indian middle class. Lives have changed since the 1991 economic reforms. But these reforms are also responsible for the downfall of these lakhs and lakhs of farmers’ death. A country cannot run with an alloy wheel and a wheel not rotating at all. This has to be stopped. Compulsory Attendance- No Sir!
Why do teachers teach the same thing that’s there in text books? A student can anyways study it in a more silent and cozy place than sitting inside a classroom filled with screaming classmates. Knowledge is not the reason students come to class, unfortunately! Alas! Students don’t wake up in the morning and say- “Today I’ll learn Data Structures- I better hurry up for college!” instead they say in worry- “I’ll miss my attendance”.
