Many of us feel that free and open source software are difficult to operate and install, and only engineers and techies use them. It is not actually so. These software are very simple to use and install. Have you used VLC media player? Have you used Firefox? They are Free and Open Source software too. Are they difficult to use or install?

Well, below is a list of some software installation and application that a FOSS user must know. These are explained in simple steps written by me and my techie friends that will help you use, install and understand wonderful Free and Open Source software in a better way.
